Ohio Turnpike Plan to Bring Jobs to Ohio

DAYTON--A new transportation plan is expected to bring thousands of jobs to the state of Ohio.

Governor John Kasich was in Dayton today talking about his plans to work with the Ohio Turnpike Commission.

After months of talks, the turnpike will no longer be leased.  This means money from the tolls will help fund dozens of major construction projects in Ohio; including the widening of US 35 here in the Miami Valley.

"It can give us the strongest infrastructure environment in the country," Governor John Kasick said.

The governor also emphasized that no one working for the turnpike will lose their job.  The plan is expected to generate 1.5 billion dollars for road construction.
