Annette Peagler Takes a Ride on the Historic B-29 "Fifi"

Vandalia -- You can witness stunts and dare devil acts at the Dayton Air Show but you can also get a history lesson.

Fifi, a B-29 bomber plane is still running like it was built back in August of 1945. She was delivered to soldiers for straining one week prior to the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. It's the last B-29 plane in the world still flying and those attending the Dayton Air Show will not only enjoy its smooth ride, but also get a first hand view of our nation's history.

"Our mission today obviously we want to remember the veterans, obviously but it's also important to teach the children the kids of today our youth the next generation why they are free and they can go to whatever church they want t, they can go to whatever school they want to and that's what gave them the ability," said Paul Stojkov, from the B-29 Flight Crew.

Reporter Annette Peagler was the only television news reporter on board. You can get a sneak peak of her flight Friday night on Fox 45 News at 10 and Saturday on ABC 22 News at 6.
