BELLBROOK -- Birders and photographers are joining the anglers at Spring Lakes Park in Bellbrook to catch a glimpse of a bald eagle that has been seen roosting in the trees around the large pond.
The bald eagle is frequently seen across the large pond directly across from the fishing dock. Local wildlife photographer Bill Dice, shown, recently spent several mornings capturing the image with his camera.
Spring Lakes Park off Ferry Road outside Bellbrook offers one large and two small ponds with stocking including trout and catfish. The ponds also offer bass, bluegill and crappies for local anglers with a park permit. Fishing permits can be purchased on-site or at the park headquarters at 575 Ledbetter Rd., Xenia.
