DAYTON -- A day of competition in Dayton, 16 teams faced off for the community kickball tournament.
Teams of men, women and kids gathered at Kettering Field in downtown to enjoy the fun. It's organized by the City of Dayton Recreation and Youth Services department. Organizers say the reason the games are such a success, is that kickball is a game almost everyone's familiar with, because it's been played so much in school.
"It's just an event that everybody can participate in, skill level's real low, you're kicking a ball and running. So with those two things, you're staying active," said John Parker, who works for the city's Recreation and Youth Services department.
Game winners were also given prizes.
