SPRINGFIELD -- Officers will be manning an OVI checkpoint Friday night in Clark County, looking for impaired drivers.
The checkpoint will be set up on West North Street in Springfield beginning at 7:30pm and end at 11pm.
Clark County authorities have been able to hold these regular checkpoints for the past three years because of grants from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.
Officers tell us there were 6 alcohol related fatalities in Clark County last year, and they want to educated drivers and get that number down to zero.
