UNDATED -- The IRS spent $64,000 of your tax dollars on swag bags at one of their notorious conferences that cost a total of $50 millions.
That money was supposed to be used to hire additional employees.
Today, Congressman Mike Turner proposed a law to prevent the IRS from swapping money in the future.
Turner says the "stop IRS Act" would force the agency to return leftover funds to the treasury to be used for deficit reduction and not swag bags or Star Trek videos.
Others say throw the tax code in the fireplace.
If you suspect local or state government wasting your money, we want to investigate.
