GREENVILLE -- A turtle napping in Greenville has the Shawnee Prairie Preserve Nature Center asking for help to find their Eastern Box Turtle.
Robb Clifford with the nature center says their unnamed turtle went missing over Memorial Day weekend.
The turtle was in an enclosure right by the front door so Clifford suspects it could have been picked up by someone.
"He can't squeeze under doors and we've searched the entire nature center," he said.
Clifford emphasizes if someone took him, he's not a pet, "reptiles are cold blooded. They have to have a cold and hot side to their habitat."
The nature center asks citizens to call the nature center at 937-548-0165 if you have any information on the turtle.
Or, if you have the turtle, they say you can put it in a box and leave it at the nature center.
