PREBLE COUNTY -- A cigarette-smoking suspect was found hiding in a trunk this morning by a K-9 officer.
The man who led an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper on a short chase reportedly abandoned a motorcycle after a short chase and decided to hide in the trunk of a 1980's-era Pontiac.
Police say the suspect closed the trunk and had no way out. Older vehicles like that don't have trunk releases, evidently.
Police got him out and transported him to jail.

PREBLE COUNTY -- Police are looking for the motorcyclist who led them on a high-speed chase.
It started early Wednesday morning. According to scanner traffic, speeds hit 80 mph on State Route 503 in the Camden area.
It started out as a traffic violation. The suspect abandoned his bike on Camden Elkton Road and took off running behind a house.
Camden police came in to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers. A K-9 unit attempted to track the suspect, but was unsuccessful.
A short time later they said they found the suspect hiding in a truck. They say he was smoking a cigarette and the smell led police right to him.
