KETTERING -- A man has been indicted on charges of kidnapping his adoptive mother.
Police say that after Christopher Wise attacked his mother and forced her into a vehicle, he went through the Caesars Beer and Wine Drive Thru. The victim, with a bloody gash on her head, was able to signal to the clerk who took down license plate information. He told his boss who notified police.
A judge set Wise's bond today at $100,000. He faces seven counts, including two for kidnapping and felonious assault.

KETTERING -- Police arrest a Kettering man accused of kidnapping and beating his adoptive mother.
While the victim was held captive she signaled an SOS to a complete stranger, who was glad to help her.
Police said Christopher Wise, 22, viciously attacked his adoptive mother and forced her into her car and took her to Caesars Beer and Wine Drive Thru in Washington Township.
Monte Edwards was working at Caesars when the suspect and his mother drove through.
"She was sitting in the passenger seat, and she's got a gash on her head and holding a bloody towel to her head, and I'm like, what is going on?" Edwards said.
The woman signaled to Edwards while he asked Wise for his license.
"She looks at me and is mouthing 'help me, help me'. I put it together instantly and I was like yep, she needs help," Edwards said.
Edwards wrote down the license plate number and told his boss, who called 911.
With Edwards' information, Police were able to go to the victim's home on Hollendale Drive in Kettering and found the mother bloody and beaten.
Police spotted Wise driving her SUV Tuesday afternoon and chased him, but he got away.
Wise's run came to an end Wednesday morning when Police found him inside the victim's home, armed with a large knife. Wise was Tasered and taken into custody.
Neighbors who live nearby are relieved.
"That makes me very happy he was caught. I'll be able to sleep at night. This is scary stuff," Amber Wrolbel said.
Edwards says his instinct and quick thinking paid off.
"I feel more awesome than I have ever felt. I helped somebody out."
Wise is locked up in jail facing numerous charges including kidnapping, felonious assault, robbery, fleeing and eluding police and felony theft.

Police say at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, a worker at Caesar's Drive Thru on Miamisburg-Centerville Road noticed Christopher W. Wise's mother mouth the words "help me" while they were in a Chevrolet Tahoe. She reportedly was bleeding from her head and mouth.
The worker called police and officers responded to the address listed on the vehicle registration: 716 Hollendale Drive. Officers entered the home and the woman was able to run to safety but Wise fled out the garage and into the Tahoe.
A pursuit ensued, however police called it off after Wise was reportedly driving erratically.
Officers caught up with Wise again at his home, where he reportedly had a large knife and was refusing their orders. He was Tasered and taken into custody.
The mother was taken to a hospital, treated for her injuries and released. Wise is being held at the Kettering Jail and does not have a bond.
