DAYTON -- A grandma out for an early morning stroll gets mauled by a vicious dog.

"He saw me and that was it," the woman said. She asked not to be identified.

She shows us her arm and leg, which are badly bruised with deep bite marks.

"I'll have scarring and it really hurts," she said.

The attack happened early Sunday morning when she started out on her  routine four-mile walk.

She said she was strolling past a home in the 3200 block of Riverside Drive when a large white dog was let outside by its owner and        attacked her.

"That dog was not playing," she said.  The animal clamped down on her flesh and wouldn't let go.  Eventually, she says,  the owner "walked" over to help.

"If he hadn't pulled the dog off me, that dog would've killed me.  There is no doubt in my mind."

She asked the dog's owner to call police and an ambulance, but he told her that wasn't necessary.

She was able to make it home to call for help, and then went to the hospital.

ABC 22/ FOX 45 News tried to talk to the dog's owner, but he wasn't home.

The victim wants the dog's owner to be more responsible, especially  knowing people are out walking all the time.

"He just needs to be punished for breaking the law like he did.  I have to abide by the rules or be punished, why should he be any different?"

Police ordered the dog to be quarantined for 10 days.  So far the dog's owner has not been charged with any crime.  The case is under investigation.
