SPRINGFIELD -- A man has been charged with impersonating a cop.
The victim's wife, Jennifer Newman, recalls, "he said he was a cop and he needed to stay down on the ground and patted him down to make sure he was clean."
The real police tell us 20-year-old Cryus Peck was wreaking havoc last week, taking random shots at people on the street and even ramming a guy on a motorcycle.
He was indicted today for impersonating an officer and felonious assault.
