TIPP CITY -- It won't happen for another 89 years where the day the month and the year have the same number and today was not an ordinary day for 6th grader Kearsten Hill.
"Everybody's been saying happy birthday to me all day," she said.
She turns 12 on day 12 of month 12 of 2012. For Kearston not only was this her golden birthday but one where all her wishes came true.
"She said: 'mom, what did you do?'," mother Mandie Hill said.
Kearston is an avid soccer player but has suffered through two different concussions this year so mom and her grandparents decided to surprise her at school Wednesday.
"I think it's really great for her she's had a rough year and it's a good way to pick her up," Mandie said.
"I told my grandparents that they had to come from Florida," said Kearston.
"She started texting us a couple month ago asking us to come up so here we are," said grandpa David Hill.
Her grandparents drove 16 hours from Florida to see Kearston on her special day and her friends also spent much of the day encouraging her.
"Everyone has been really supportive," Kearston said wiping away tears.
For a day that only comes around once in a lifetime, this birthday has made a lifetime of difference for Kearston.
"I don't really remember last year's this one I will remember forever," she said.
Kearston's mom says her daughter got just what she wanted for her birthday...a cell phone and a North Face coat.
