UNDATED -- One Ohio Senator is demanding punishment for the IRS workers in Ohio.
Today, Republican Rob Portman asked the Senate if any disciplinary action has been taken against workers at the Cincinnati IRS office.
Portman also asked the new-acting commissioner of the IRS to identify, by name and title, every worker involved in the delay or denial of tax exempt status to tea parties and other groups.
Cincinnati workers have declined comment. One of their superiors, however, has moved on to become head of the IRS office that will enforce the Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare.
The Dayton Tea Party organized a rally at Courthouse Square and other, similar protests are being held around the country.
Organizers say the government denied their Constitutional rights and even asked about the books they were reading and the content of their prayers, drying up their funding prior to the 2012 presidential election.
