SANFORD, FLORIDA -- In the Florida neighborhood watch murder trial, newly released pictures and text messages show that lawyers for George Zimmerman are going after Trayvon Martin's character, claiming he was involved with guns, drugs and fighting.
According to Zimmerman's Defense Attorney Mark O'Mara, "I'm not sure if it's recreation or whatever, but he's very used to fighting. That he has used some drugs in the past, and again, many 17-year-olds have, but he has as well."
The attorney of Martin's family says the pictures and texts are irrelevant and gave Zimmerman no right to shoot the teen.
A judge now has to rule if the eventual jury will ever see those images.
