DAYTON -- A Craigslist trade goes bad when two men were robbed men while meeting up at a Dayton park.

Dayton police reports say officers responded to Princeton Park on Sunday for a report of an armed robbery. The victims, Ben Winter and Tyler Rathert were robbed while meeting up with a man they were hoping to make a trade with.

Winter and Rathert were hoping to trade a dirt bike for an ATV after a listing they found on Craigslist.

While at the park, police reports say two black males started playing basketball nearby when they approached the two parties working on the trade.

"They came over asking questions how much do I want for it," said Winter.

Winter says he told the men it wasn't for sale.

Winter says that's when the two suspects dropped the basketball and told Winter and Rathert to get on the ground.

"He had a 9 millimeter to the back of my head," said Winter.

Police reports say Rathert was sucker punched in the face by one of the suspects.

The suspect took the keys to the truck that had the dirt bike in it and drove off with it all.

Dayton Police say when meeting up with anyone online make sure it's in a public place.

"Be cautious about meeting people on their terms. If you suggest a meeting place and they redirect you somewhere you aren't familiar with, be very cautious about that," said Lieutenant Wendy Stiver.

The suspects drove off in Rathert's 1989 red Chevy S10.

Police say the the first suspect is described as a man in his early 20's who was missing his two front teeth with bumps on his face. He was estimated to be around 5'9" to 5'11" and around 220 pounds.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's as well and about 160 pounds.

If you have any information you're asked to call Dayton Police.
