XENIA -- There was a big passion for purple in Xenia today.
A 5K run was held to honor Gary Wellborn, who was told two months ago that time was running out.
He has pancreatic cancer. The family was hoping for at least 100 people to show up, but 300 showed up instead.
It was all to support a man who says he would never describe himself as someone special; his family begs to differ.
"Phenomenal. They don't know how much help this is, going through this period of my life. To have the comfort and the love of so many people,"said Gary Wellborn.
