DAYTON -- Police are investigating many acts of vandalism in one west side neighborhood.
A vandal, armed with a paint ball gun, targeted six homes on Gard Avenue.
Lori Haines' home was hit the worst. She thought bullets were hitting her home last night.
"I hit the floor, you'd hit the floor too! Them things is loud, I didn't know what is was. It was like boom boom boom boom boom."
The paint ball vandals got all sides of her home and and her windows.
"It's bad. You just want to mess up and destroy the neighborhood? For what? For what?" she said.
Haines spent the day trying to scrub off the bright red paint that is splattered all over her home, but it doesn't come off easy.
"This is true vandalism. It's tearing up my property. I ain't got time for that! I ain't got time for that!"
Haines said she is disabled and has suffered two strokes. She said she works very hard to keep her home and her lawn looking nice.
"I don't want to live in no dump! I don't want to live in the projects!" she said.
She said this act of vandalism is a major setback for her neighborhood.
"This is sickening. We try to have some decent homes around here and this happens. I don't want to cry, but I feel like it. This is crazy."
Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call the Dayton Police Department at 333-COPS (2677).
