DAYTON -- Mother Nature may not have cooperated, but Urban Nights did go on tonight in downtown Dayton. There were a couple of cancellations of some outdoor activities, but businesses were ready to show their stuff.
Urban Nights goers brought their umbrellas as they checked out the old and new businesses in the Oregon District, Wright Dunbar Village and the St. Clair Street area.
Bob Mendenhall, chose to open his new restaurant, Lily's Bistro to coincide with Urban Nights.
''I think it's a showcase for people in Dayton to come downtown and take pride in their city'', Mendenhall told us, ''this year in particular to see some positive aspects of how it's grown and gotten better over the past two years.''
The next Urban Nights celebration will be in the early Fall.
