BEAVERCREEK -- Police and agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit conducted compliance checks for underage sales at 16 local liquor establishments. Of those, three places violated the law, and three people have been charged with underage sales.
One employee each at Cold-Spot Drive-thru at 4138 Dayton-Xenia Road, Factory Road Drive-thru at 2508 Richmar Drive, and Robs Beer Barn at 4017 Indian Ripple Road was charged.
Beavercreek Police also participated in an OVI/Drug Interdiction Saturation, which included traffic stops for traffic violations, speeding and suspended licenses. They also made arrests for drug possession.
These efforts were part of Operation Shield, a statewide enforcement initiative involving local law enforcement agencies. These operations are conducted at various times throughout the year.
