KETTERING -- Hospital executives walk in the shoes of nurses in honor of National Nurses Week.
Head honchos from Kettering Medical Center put on their scrubs today and tagged along with nurses as they performed their daily duties. Hospital management does this once a quarter to get a better understanding about what nurses actually do day in and day out, and to help improve communication with management.
"In talking with one of the patient families this morning, it was reaffirming to hear what we've done well and how it's made a difference in the recovery of their loved one.", Michael Bendel, Vice President of Clinical Services tells us.
Hospital officials say the goal of the role reversal is to advance patient care.
