Security Tight for Obama at Ohio State Commencement

COLUMBUS (AP) -- Ohio State University officials say security at Sunday's graduation ceremony at Ohio Stadium will be tighter than usual thanks to the commencement speaker -- President Barack Obama.

Ohio State says the 10,000 graduating seniors and their families can expect long security lines to get into the stadium. Metal detectors and airport-like security measures will be in effect.

The university is advising guests to arrive at 7:30 a.m. Sunday for the noon commencement.

Admission tickets are required for anyone over the age of 2, and there are restrictions on what people can bring in.

The university says Obama will be the third sitting president to deliver its commencement address. The others were Presidents George W. Bush in 2002 and Gerald Ford in 1974.
