DAYTON -- Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer says they do not suspect any foul play in the death of 39-year-old Dameon Wesley, who was found dead this morning in a jail cell.
Wesley likely died of a medical reason, Plummer said. The sheriff said guards found Wesley lying on the cell floor shortly before 8 this morning. They attempted CPR but he was already dead, Plummer said.
Wesley, who is accused of killing 13-year-old Briona Rodgers and critically injuring 13-year-old Alonta Culpepper in February, was housed in a cell by himself.
Wesley was listed as 6-foot-3 and 499 pounds when he was booked into the jail.
An autopsy will be performed today to determine the cause of death.
