Good News at USPS: They're Hiring

CINCINNATI – The United States Postal Service is accepting applications for City Carrier Assistants (CCAs) to work in Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton.

The CCA is a new category of non-career employee with a path to possible future employment as a full-time city carrier with career employee status. CCAs are initially appointed for a term of 360 calendar days.

The Postal Service will be accepting online applications through midnight, May 5, 2013, for these CCA positions. The positions entail all the duties normally associated with a city letter carrier. Salary and limited benefits include $15 an hour, paid vacation days, and eligibility for health care benefits as required by law or after the first 360-day term.

All applicants must create an external profile at http://usps.com/employment, fill out the online application, and follow the instructions to take Postal Examination 473. A full explanation of employment requirements is available here.

Online applications are also being accepted for a variety of open job positions throughout Ohio. CCA positions are specifically listed as “City Carrier Assistant” followed by a city name.

Applicants will need an email address and should check their email frequently for further instructions.
