MERCER COUNTY -- Sheriff Jeff Grey announced Monday that his office took in nearly 13 pounds of prescription medication on Saturday, while participating in the National Drug Take back program.
The Sheriffâs Office also has a drug take back box located inside the Sheriffâs Office lobby, allowing for the safe disposal of prescription drugs at any time.
Grey said the program has removed over 131 pounds of medicine in the last 12 months. The drug take back drop box is a free service to the citizens of Mercer County. It accepts any type of prescription medication with the exception of liquids, gels or needles. The Sheriffâs Office is at 4835 State Route 29, Celina.
