COLUMBUS -- Bishop Watterson officials have upheld the termination of physical education teacher Carla Hale.
Hale had been fired after the Catholic school found out from Hale's mother's obituary that Hale had a female partner.
After the obituary was published, an anonymous letter was sent to the Bishop Watterson Diocese by the mother of a student, expressing outrage over Hale's employment.
In the termination letter, Hale is told, "Your written spousal relationship violates the moral laws of the Catholic Church."
