WEST CARROLLTON -- West Carrolltonâs community-wide Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 11.
Residents are asked to call 937-847-4633 by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, to have their address included on the list.
A list of addresses will be printed on the cityâs website at www.westcarrollton.org and posted in the Civic Center lobby by Thursday, May 9.
Garage sale signs do not require a permit, but the signs may not be placed in the right-of-way, typically no closer than 10 feet from the curb.
According to city regulations, in addition to the community-wide sale events, residents are permitted to have two additional garage sales per year. Residents are required to register those additional sales with the planning and building department. Call 937-859-5184 for more information.
During the week after the Garage Sale Event, the service department will conduct Large-Item Trash Collection during May 13-17 on residentsâ regular collection days.
The city will collect household items such as appliances, carpet, brush, metal, and lumber. Appliances should have the doors removed from the hinges. Carpet and brush should be cut in 3-4 ft. lengths and bundled.
The city will not pick up contractor generated materials or remodeling materials. For more information about the bulk pick-up, call 937-859-8280.
