DAYTON-- A freshman University of Dayton student remains in critical but stable condition Monday, after falling from his 6th floor dormitory window on Saturday.
According to a 911 call released Monday, students found the UD student just outside the Marycrest Complex.
"Somebody fell. He's bleeding." The student told the 911 dispatcher.
The student told the dispatcher he had visible injuries to his leg and was unresponsive.
Patrick Redman lives on the 6th floor of Marycrest. "It was totally shocking. You never want to hear something like that." He said.
Earlier this month, UD Freshman Larry Cook died after falling from a sixth-floor window in the Stuart Complex .
Cook's death was ruled a suicide by the coroner, but his family disputes that ruling.
Some UD students want safer windows since this is the is the second incident in 3 weeks.
"I would hope UD sees this as a problem, and says maybe we should put more security on the windows." UD student Nikki Kotwasinski said.
ABC 22/ FOX 45 asked University Officials if any changes would be made to make windows safer. University officials said Monday "the fall is under investigation."
Redman is wishing his dorm mate the best, and hopes he can pull through.
"I definitely hope he makes a full recovery, and is able to come back next year."
