DAYTON -- A teenager was shot seven times and another man shot once after a chase that began Sunday night at a gas station and ended with the two males lying in a front yard of a home nearby.
Kevin Brown, 17, and Juan Johnson, 27, have been identified as the victims of the shooting reported about 11 p.m. Sunday.
According to police, Johnson said the two went to BP on Salem Avenue to buy a pack of Black and Milds when two men starting shooting at them.
Brown was shot twice in the scrotum, twice in his right side, once in his femur and once in each thigh. Johnson had a single gunshot wound in his right side.
He said it might have "started over a comment regarding the gold chain one of the suspects was wearing."
Brown and Johnson were transported to Miami Valley Hospital. Both are expected to survive the shooting.
The suspects in the shooting were described as black males. They were reportedly driving a silver sedan. Police said neither shooting victim was cooperative with police as they were being questioned.
