CENTERVILLE -- Dozens showed up in Centerville Sunday morning, running to end hunger.
The Panerathon 5K to Fight Hunger raised money for The Children's Hunger Alliance.
About 47,000 kids in the Miami Valley go hungry every year.
"The Children's Hunger Alliance does a phenomenal job of reaching out to those children through the schools. Feeding them after school, taking care of them during the summer. There's so much that they do in this community alone," said Melanie Murray from Panera Bread.
This is the sixth year for the event. Anyone wanting to donate can do so at any Panera store.
