DAYTON -- Ohio workers could be seeing a increase in their paycheck, if Senator Sherrod Brown's minimum wage bill passes.
Senator Brown was at Blind Bob's in the Oregon District, asking businesses in Montgomery County for support.
Sen. Brown is calling for an increase from the current $7.85 to $10.10 over the next two years.
"More than 80 percent of minimum wage workers are eighteen and over, many of them support themselves and families.'' Senator Brown told us today, ''Many minimum wage workers need to work two jobs just to get above the poverty line."
Senator Brown added that increasing the minimum wage helps create jobs. Critics, however, call it a job killer for young adults who already can't find work.
