CINCINNATI -- Our region's next big marathon is the Flying Pig in Cincinnati. That race is set to kick off in just about three weeks on May 5.
On a Facebook page Monday night, Flying Pig organizers said the marathon will go on. This comes after several people rallied in support of the race being held. Organizers say they are still working on security measures.
The executive director of the Flying Pig issued a statement about the bombing of the Boston Marathon.
''Our thoughts and prayers go out the staff and participants of the Boston Marathon after today's incident near the finish line. We are closely following the situation with our local police and fire leadership to understand the circumstances of today's events and will continue to do so as information is released.''
