DAYTON -- Bob Murphy, President of the Dayton Dragons, has assured the public that recent reports of the sale of the Dayton Dragons will not affect the team.
Murphy has confirmed that the holding company, Mandalay Baseball Properties, is for sale. The Dragons have long-term contracts with the City of Dayton and Murphy has stated the team is not going anywhere and fans should not be worried.
Mandalay owns five minor league baseball teams including the Dragons. The other teams are the Oklahoma City Redhawks, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Erie SeaWolves and Frisco Roughriders.
A similar transaction happened back in 2007, which had no affect on the team.
