CNN -- A new national survey suggests Americans are paying attention to the threats coming out of North Korea. That's the finding of a new CNN/ORC International poll.
It finds a majority of the public is doubtful the situation involving the North's missile program can be solved through diplomacy or economic sanctions alone.
According to the survey, 41-percent of Americans now characterize North Korea as an immediate threat to the U.S. That number is an all-time high for that measure.
Another 41-percent say North Korea is a long-term threat to the U.S.
16-percent don't believe the isolated communist regime is a threat at all.
