DAYTON -- Police say a woman in her 20s was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot in the abdomen.
Dayton Police Lt. Burden says a woman was standing near a vehicle outside an apartment at the Eagle Ridge complex off Needmore around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night.
He says an unidentified suspect came in between two apartment buildings and started shooting at her and another man inside the car. Police say there were reports of 6-10 shots fired.
Detectives are on scene to figure out what happened.
It's unclear what the motive was or if there was any relation between the suspect and victim.
That man who was inside the car was taken into custody for questioning.
