HARRISON TWP. -- We talked to family members distraught over this 19 month old. This after a 25-year-old mother and her live-in boyfriend have been booked into the Montgomery County jail on child endangering charges.

The Sheriff's Office confirms Crystal Laurel, 25, and her boyfriend Dustin Rybak, 25, were arrested on Sunday.

The Sheriffs Office says a 19-month-old baby was brought to Dayton Children's Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators aren't saying much about the case, but we talked to the family of that baby boy.

Teaya Hasty says the baby, Takota Hasty, is her second cousin and is fighting for his life.

"He's got a broken arm, internal bleeding. He's got 12 hours. If he's not doing any better, they're going to pull the plug," said Hasty.

She says nearly 100 family members and friends are at the hospital to show support for the baby.

Hasty alleges the things her second-cousin went through, "they put cigarettes out on him. They beat him," she said.

Both Laurel and Rybak face child endangering charges.

Rybak also faces felonious assault.

The case will be given to the prosecutors office where more charges could follow.
