DAYTON -- Dayton Police responded to Cleveland Elementary School on Tuesday on a drugs call.
A teacher told police she found a baggie of marijuana in a third grader's pocket.
The 8-year-old told officers he got the weed from a 6th grader, who put the weed in his pocket and told him to keep it.
The 8-year-old said he didn't know the older child's name.
The third grader showed it off to his friends, and one of the friends told a teacher.
The 8-year-old's mother was called to the school. The third grader was suspended for one day.
No other charges were filed.
