NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Rutgers University has fired basketball coach Mike Rice after a videotape was released showing him shoving, grabbing and throwing balls at players in practice.
The tape, which also contains gay slurs, was aired by ESPN.
The tape has sparked outrage on social media and drawn sharp criticism from Gov. Chris Christie and NBA star LeBron James.
