TIPP CITY -- Neighbors are upset that city leaders are ripping up their historic downtown. Folks on both sides of the issue met Monday night at Tipp City's council meeting. Supporters say increasing population requires the city to renovate its streets and sidewalks. But opponents say Tipp City construction is losing its "small town atmosphere."
"You're stripping the historic character from downtown," said an opponent of the StreetScape plan, "Why would we want to be like everyone else and do exactly what every other city in Ohio is doing?"
