DAYTON -- The Dayton Playhouse announces the opening of William Nicholsonâs drama, "The Retreat from Moscow." The play is being directed by Dodie Lockwood and opening night is Friday, April 12, and the play runs for two weekends.
"The Retreat from Moscow" is the story of a 33-year marriage at the breaking point. How well do we know the people we marry? Is it wrong to decide itâs time to be honest? Is love enough to save a family? This celebrated author of Shadowlands tells the powerful story of a husband who decides to be truthful in his marriage, and the wife and son whose lives will never be the same.
The cast includes Charles Larkowski as Edward, Jennifer Lockwood as Alice and Matt Lindsay as Jamie. Assistant director is Brian Sharp and Bill Brewer is artistic consultant.
Performances of "The Retreat From Moscow" will be Friday through Sunday, April 12-21. All performances are at 8 p.m. except Sundays, which are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors and students.
