FORTUNA, CA -- Police in Fortuna responded to a different kind of 9-1-1 call. During her Monday evening shift an emergency dispatcher picked up the
line to hear not someone needing help, but a child who just wanted to
say âthanksâ to her local police department. News Channel 3 in Eureka, CA
caught up with the 6-year old caller as the police chief paid her a
visit at school to talk about when not to call 9-1-1.
