DAYTON - A deadly shooting outside a Dayton night club has police searching for clues on whose involved; meanwhile a neighborhood is feeling the backlash from all the violence.
âItâs almost like a war-zone when you have to fall on the floor in the middle of the night, somethingâs wrong with thatâ said Marvella Lambright, neighbor.
A post Thanksgiving shoot-out, created a living nightmare for people in the College Hill community. It all began when fights broke out early Friday morning, in Club Vault, that spilled into the parking lot.
âQuite a few shots fired at least from a couple different firearms in a couple different locations within the parking lotâ said Lt. Donald Burden, Dayton Police.
One of those gun shots killed Aundric Kerley, 23.
Police later arrested a person of interest in Fairborn, Marshall Cooper, 24. While Cooper is being held in the Montgomery County Jail for a probation violation, his family confirms he was involved in a club fight.
By four oâclock Friday morning, more shots were fired, now aimed in Cooperâs family.
âThereâs quite a bit of retaliation going on back and forthâ said Lambright.
Marvella Lambright lives across the street from the home pierced with bullet holes. She says it is the second time in just a few weeks that house has been fired into.
â20 years of living here this is the first time anything like this has happened, so closeâ said Lambright.
Police are still investigating the shootings, people with information are asked to contact Dayton Police.
