The Good, the Bad & the Ugly From Black Friday

FAIRBORN -- While the employees welcomed the many customers, the customers welcomed the many deals.

Linda Doakes spent $467 Friday and has three carts of items to show for it.

"We had a lot more than this," she said. "I have nine children, a lot of grand children and everything I bought is for my family."

But she was outdone by Nina Small who spent $500 in six hours at Wal-Mart.

"I've seen more stuff this Black Friday than any other," she said. "I'm done with my Christmas Shopping in just one day.

The National Retail Federation says they expect 147 million shoppers this Black Friday weekend which is down from the 152 million last year. Still these customers say it's as crazy as ever.

"We went to the Target and the line was so big, it spread to the Abuello's restaurant," said shopper Nanette Rock.

Mike Boston says he'd rather shop on Black Friday than Thanksgiving Thursday.

"You're selling out your family for a couple savings, kinda ridiculous," he said.

But no matter what time you come, the lines are still long.

"Even though we didn't get there last night, there was tons of stuff left," said Small.

"Just finding a parking spot can be a challenge," said Boston.

So much of a challenge, tow trucks removed several cars from Wal-Mart.

"He said it's going to be about 109 dollars, bring cash," Brian Finch explained after his car was towed.

Another driver was so upset, he returned everything he just bought.

"Full cart load; 250 bucks," said Daniel Cox. "Everything I spent I just gave right back to them."

Some upset customers, and some happy ones, but most of the customers have at least one thing in common.

"I need some more sleep," one shopper said.
