MONTGOMERY COUNTY-- A former Five Rivers Metro Parks employee, is accused of looking at child pornography on his work computer.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of 70-year-old Byron "Skip" Layman on Tuesday.
"It's inappropriate and inexcusable on his part. And its a crime. " Five Rivers Metro Parks Chief of Rangers, Mark Hess said.
Hess said Layman was a part time Education Assistant at the Germantown Nature Center, and was often around children on nature hikes.
"We didn't have any allegations that he was inappropriate with any kids at the time he was working here. At this point, all we know is the child porn found on the internet ." Hess said.
The investigation began 3 years ago when employees noticed Layman looking at inappropriate websites.
Officials confiscated his work computer and the one at is Centerville home, where Hess said, more child porn was found.
Layman was confronted and he resigned, and then apparently left the state.
Once found, Layman will be brought back to Montgomery County, where he will face charges.
