DAYTON -- A Wright-Patterson Air Force Base employee was arrested early Sunday morning, accused of assaulting a bouncer and resisting arrest.
The incident began when patrons of Ned Peppers bar in the Oregon District complained to staff that a man, later identified as Benjamin Joseph Lorber, 28, had been grabbing women's butts and intentionally bumping into people. When bouncers tried to escort Lorber out, witnesses said he punched one of them in the face.
Police were nearby, patrolling during the St. Patrick's Day festivities, and saw the struggle with Lorber and the bouncers as they got him outside. Officers responded and also struggled with Lorber to restrain him in handcuffs.
Eventually, Lorber said he was upset with the bouncers because they were rough with him.
He was transported to jail and booked on assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct charges.
According to Wright Patterson Public Affairs representatives, Lorber is a Captain who works in the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL).
