DAYTON--Thick smoke had several fire crews rushing to a Dayton industrial business.
Around two in the afternoon neighbors saw thick smoke coming from the heat treating facility and called 911.
When firefighters arrived; they followed the smoke to a furnace. They were quickly able to get the fire under control. Officials say the furnace was faulty.
"They were positioned in a precautionary and preparatory fashion to prepare for the worst which turned out not to be the case," said District Fire Chief Lester Flohr
Fire crews say there was no damage to the building.
