GREEN TOWNSHIP -- An 18-year-old woman died at the scene of a crash late Sunday night after colliding with an oncoming car.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating fatal crash that occurred on Selma Pike at Old Springfield Road. Troopers say Cady M. Reed, 18, of South Vienna drove left of center and struck an oncoming car. Reed was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
Reed just graduated from Northeastern High School but it seems everyone still remembers her.
"She was an amazing person she always put a smile on everybody's face and I mean everybody even people you didn't think she would be friends with... she was friends with everybody," student Mary Tussing said.
"Very somber, very quiet," said Northeastern High School Principal Chris James.
After a two hour fog delay students and faculty still had trouble moving through the school day.
"Just walking in there it hurt me I almost started crying," Tussing said.
"You are such a great person to look up to." "I am beautiful because of you." Students all day long in northeastern high school have been leaving messages for Cady on a poster.
"I love her she's an angel I'm just hurt she had to be taken so early," said Tussing.
"I took a call from Cady's dad today. and you always say if I can do anything for you ... but it just sounds like there's no words to describe what's going on in your heart," said James. "Seems like there's nothing you can say nothing you can do."
"Everytime we would get down she would bring us up and anybody who needed a friend she was always there no matter if she liked or didn't like you she was still there for you it's just a shame," said Tussing.
Reed recently graduated from Northeastern High School and was enrolled in special education/early education classes at Urbana University.
Kyle Nelson, 21, of Springfield and his passenger, who was not identified by the OSHP, were transported to Springfield Regional Hospital with minor injuries, troopers said.
