CLEVELAND--The same Cleveland judge who made a woman wear an "idiot" sign in public for driving around a school bus is back at it again. This time a man received the same punishment for prank calling 911 and threatening police officers.
Dispatcher: "I'm sorry?"
Caller: "I want Officer Simone in my face, or I'm going to kill two cops. Bye."
Judge Pinkey Carr sentenced 58-year-old Richard Dameron to stand outside of a police station wearing a sign apologizing to officers noting, "I was being an idoit and it will never happen again." Dameron will have to wear the sign for three hours a day for a week.
He also received 90 days in jail for the threatening 911 calls.
Judge Carr says that sometimes she has to get creative to get through to people.
