DAYTON -- For the first time in ten years, Dayton citizens will be on patrol to help clean up the streets. Dozens came out tonight for the first Citizen's Police Academy meeting. During the 13 week class, they'll learn what police do behind the scenes, and how to spot suspicious activity
"Community safety is the responsibility of everybody," said Ofc. Chris Pawleski, the Community Engagement Officer, "The citizens having a partnership between police department and community will help us do our job more effectively and ultimately make the community safer."
