DAYTON -- Kindergarten registration for the 2013-2014 school year begins March 4. To be eligible for kindergarten, children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30, 2013.
Parents or guardians may register their children at the Student Assignment Office, 115 S. Ludlow Street, between Fourth and Fifth streets in downtown Dayton. Free parking is available in the lot behind the building off of Fifth Street. Office hours are weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Parents or guardians are required to bring the following information:
⢠Their picture I.D.;
⢠Child's updated immunization record;
⢠A copy of the childâs official birth certificate/proof of birth;
⢠Proof of residence in the parentâs name (dated within the last 60 days);
⢠Custody papers (if applicable)
March 4 also begins open enrollment for all grade levels for the 2013-2014 year. Families enrolling children in first through 12 grade are asked to bring the documents listed above, plus proof of grade level, such as a report card or progress report.
