The 40-year-old man Troy man previously pleaded guilty to a count of child rape and one of complicity to rape. The second charge involved allegedly arranging with Patrick Rieder of Dayton to rape a child, who was 10 years old at the time. Rieder pleaded guilty to child rape counts earlier this month and was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Mary Katherine Huffman will likely sentence Brandt to 50 years to life today if she agrees that he has fulfilled terms of a plea agreement. He has already been sentenced in Miami County to 60 years to life.
